Tomato sauce refers to dishes that are primarily made from tomato and served with different words like in this case tomato sauce served with pasta.

Making tomato sauce is quite the easiest recipe of all. This recipe makes an amazing fully red tomato sauce. You can do many alterations, depending on your taste like you can add chopped meat, seasoning etc.

Homemade tomato sauce is healthy and has fewer calories than other creamy pasta sauces. The best thing is that you can be varying the ingredients within your budget and taste.

Now comes my tomato sauce recipe, which requires little things and time to prepare. I believe this is the cheapest and most tasty recipe of the day.

You can store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 5 days while in the freezer it can be kept for about 3 months.

Ingredients for tomato sauce:

  • 1 medium size onion
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 400g of chopped onion 
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 tsp of olive oil
  • ½ tsp of salt
  • ¼ tsp of pepper
  • 1 celery stick
  • Water
