The egg is a healthful diet and has been consumed for a long time. It is the perfect food. There are many types of eggs but mostly consumed egg from chicken.

Eggs are one of the foods that are loaded with nutrients and are classified as superfoods. Eggs are important ingredients in cooking and have particular baking reaction properties.

Both egg white and yolk are rich in nutrients such as protein, minerals and vitamins. The yolk of an egg has fat-soluble vitamins (vitamins E and D) and another fatty acid while egg white contains protein.

Here I'll discuss the health benefits of egg 


1. High in cholesterol:

Although egg is high in cholesterol but does not affect adversely the blood cholesterol. It is estimated that a single egg contains about 212 mg which is half of the daily recommended intake.

Cholesterol in the diet does not raise cholesterol in the blood. Eating egg help to elevate the level of high-density lipoprotein which is also known as good cholesterol. Their high level will help to reduce heart disorders, stroke and other related issues.

Mostly liver produces every single day a large amount of cholesterol. After increasing your dietary cholesterol levels, then your liver simply produces less cholesterol.

The egg does not raise cholesterol in 70% of people after consumption while 30% of people can raise mildly their LDL.

2. The Rich source of choline:

Eggs are an important source of choline and 100 mg of choline is delivered by a single egg. Choline is a water-soluble vitamin and is linked with the B group vitamin.

It is used to build up the cell membrane and help to produce molecules for the brain and several other functions. The egg is also important during pregnancy and breastfeeding. If your body is deficient in choline, then it affects seriously the body.  

It is estimated that one single-boiled egg provides 147mg of choline which is about 27% of the daily recommended value.

3. Reduce the risk of heart disease:

Cholesterol is of two types: HDL (high-density lipoprotein) and LDL (low-density lipoprotein). LDL is also known as bad cholesterol and is linked to heart disorders. Egg contains a high level of HDL which is termed good cholesterol for the body.

LDL is also classified into two types namely: larger LDL and small dense LDL particles. Small dense LDL increase the risk of heart diseases as compared to large LDL particles.

4. Support eye health:

Eggs are considered an eye-friendly diet. Eggs are a rich source of antioxidants such as vitamins A, and E and selenium that are best for supporting eye health.

Eggs contain a rich amount of vitamin A which is considered the best vitamin for eye health. Egg yolk contains a large amount of zeaxanthin and lutein which are antioxidants and help to reduce the risk of macular and contracts degeneration of your eyes.

5. Provide omega-3 fatty acids:

Omega 3 fatty acid is an essential polyunsaturated fatty acid which is also considered an essential fat for the functioning of the heart and brain, cell membrane formation and for eyes health. Our body produces a limited version of omega-3 fatty acid so it must be delivered through various food sources.
