Cancer is a chronic disease caused by an uncontrolled division of cells in the body. This division is caused due to genetic changes that form tumours.

There are four types of cancer namely, carcinomas, sarcomas, leukaemias and lymphomas. It is the second leading disease of death causing among both developed and developing countries.

2. Vegetables:

It also contains sulforaphane which helps to improve brain health by reducing inflammation and protecting from damaged cells that are more important when a patient undergoes chemotherapy.

3. Nuts:

During chemotherapy, you must refresh yourself with different snacks and drinks. Nuts are not only easy to take but also boost the amount of protein, fat, minerals and vitamin.

Almond is a rich source of copper, and manganese which provide 32% and 27% of the daily value. These minerals have an antioxidant property that fights against free radicals. Free radicals damage the cells.

4. Whole grains:

Whole grain is a rich source of carbohydrates which provides energy to the body. So, to take carbohydrates you should add minimally processed food into your diet like bran, oat etc. they also contain soluble fibre which maintains the health of the gut by promoting the production of short-chain fatty acids.

5. Eggs:

Fatigue and tiredness are the side effect of chemotherapy. So, to overcome this situation eggs are a rich supplier of fat and protein.

Protein helps to build muscle mass and Fat is required to provide energy to the body. Both of these are important during chemotherapy.

6. Avocado:

Avocado is a creamy fruit that has a high content of monosaturated fatty acid which helps to lower the bad cholesterol level in the body and increase the level of good cholesterol. It is also a rich source of fibre that helps to feed gut-friendly bacteria.

To overcome the side effects of chemotherapy such as dry mouth, and constipation avocado is the best option. It provides calories and nutrients to the boy.

7. Broth:

During chemotherapy taste of the mouth become changes and water has already no taste. So, the alternative way is to intake broth that keeps the body hydrated. It is soup a combination of meat and vegetables along with water.
